COASTAL STORMS & LIGHT

This collection is inspired by my travels across the U.K coastlines. Weeks spent painting in Cornwall, Scotland and Ireland exploring secret coves, stormy seas and wild beaches, gives me a unique emotive connection to bring into my paintings. Coastal towns provide the back drop for plein air pieces, invoking happy memories through my work.

"My creative process begins with translating an idea onto paper; simplistic sketches arise, centered on the light patterns I use for each painting. The application of paint to canvas begins; each piece constantly changes, evolving to express the inspiration of the moment."
