Will Cotton is a New York based artist. Cotton's art captures all things sweet and delicious in a surreal cloud of paint. His innate understanding of the textures, flavours and colours of sugary temptations is portrayed through each brushstroke. Cotton's mastery of technical skill, combined with playful imagination creates an irresistable pull to his work.
Duncan Macgregor's art immediately assaulted my senses when I first came across him. Macgregor's work captures the ruthless, vital energy of the ocean, with all its spectrums. He uses texture to build up depth; to draw you in. The stunning contrast between rough and smooth hooks its claws into your senses.
His work is focused on his experiences with the sea, giving him a unique insight which is expressed to the viewer through his art. The bold contrast of colours, textures and tones lends life to your imagination. Milk white sails are drawn downwards with a buttery soft use of palette knife.
Leandro Erlich's 'Illusion Pool'
'Swimming pool' invites the viewer to look down into a seemingly full pool of water with fully clothed visitors walking on the bottom. From below, Erlich creates the blurry, watery effect of looking up whilst underwater by using a thin piece of glass with water running over it.
